Do your flute keys make sticky sound?

Powder paper is specially treated to help remove debris and stickiness from woodwind instrument pads. Suitable for use on flutes and saxophones it's always keeping a book of Powder Paper in your case to help relieve issues with sticky pads that can cause problems when playing.

There is a very thin layer of powder that helps dry and excess moisture which can cause pads to stick. Supplied in a small booklet the sheets can be pulled out and placed between pad and tonehole.

  • Fantastic for eliminating sticky pad problems on Woodwind instruments.

  • Place between pad and tone hole to clean and dry.

  • Also helps remove debris from pads and thus help with longevity.

Now as for the make your buy, it is best to ask your instrument manufacturer in case they have their own make. If not Yamaha usually provide quality products, but be sure to buy from an authentic supplier as a fake talc residue could spoil your flute. Personally, I grew up using the cheaper alternative cigarette papers, these absorb any extra saliva well, but do quickly disintegrate, so if you find a wet patch only use each paper once to save you having to fish the bits off your pad.

Avoid eating sticky foods (including sweets) or drink near the time your play your instrument as this makes its way down your flute - YUCK!
