  • Piano

    Piano

A favourite starter instrument for the kids and I think I have the skill to keep them motivated. Lessons are fun and I soon have them playing tunes they love. It's a little challenging to read both music clefs at first, but then they are in a great position for adding further instruments to their repertoire later.

  • Flute

    Flute

I'm blessed to have had some amazing experiences playing the flute. I was fortunate to experience playing beside James Galway in London with a group of others, including his wife. We played a variety of tunes including my all time favourite the Tambourin.

  • Alto Sax

I've a broad range of experience on the sax. In my youth I performed a solo 'Send in the clowns' in Wembley Arena when the Royal Tunbridge Wells Marching Band made it to the final of the British Championships for Marching bands.

“Claire is so patient and always positive and cheery. She is a paragon of virtue, as she smiles throughout my elderly lady playing and always writes down lots of tips to help me. She is my 3rd teacher and knocks spots off the others.” Diana Pett (piano - adult)

Latest performances

Claire is a versatile performer, regularly accompanying pupils for their music exams. Having run choirs and regularly played for school assemblies she has recently had the opportunity to diversify and try her hand at play carols at the local Christ Church. The Father Willis Organ was built in 1880, by Henry ‘Father’ Willis, and is believed to be the oldest of its type on the South Coast. This is the first time Claire has performed on a organ.
